Major line change placed in service by New York Central on 4-track main line at Little Falls, NY; project has eliminated Gulf curve; course of Mohawk river changed by construction of new channel involving 130,000 cu yd of excavation, 65,000 cu yd of which was solid rock; in addition, embankment containing 80,000 cu yd of rock, and 360,000 cu yd of gravel from borrow pits, was constructed, two new bridges were erected, and upon this finished grade new 4-track roadbed was placed.
