Based on German standard specification DIN 1164, DIN V4207 and DIN 1060, for hydraulic cements, it is shown how mixed binders differ from standard cements, and development upon which slag binders and gypsum slag binders are based; slag binders are similar in properties and use to highly hydraulic limes.
