New Indian railway bridge crossing tributary of Sutlej River
Heavy bridging is required to accommodate monsoon run-off in numerous torrents which form cross drainage to river; Sirsa bridge sited at center of 6600-ft flood section; guide banks armored with stone boulders, and aprons consist of three rows of concrete blocks, 6-ft cube, at toe of bank slope, against which orthodox boulder apron, 15 ft wide, was laid; development of channel.
