Daer (Lanarkshire) water scheme
Data on reservoir site, rainfall, storage and yield; dam 135 ft high, is earthen embankment having concrete core wall and concrete cutoff; embanking material 2 1/4 million cu yd; water will be treated by flocculation, sedimentation, filtration and sterilization; length of pipe lines 56 mi, from 21 to 44 in. in diam, mostly of steel, coated internally and externally with butimen compound and jointed with Viking Johnson couplings.
