Novel method of deriving daily flow from daily rainfall, based on recession curve of daily flow at times of no rain; table gives daily flow hydrographs of flow of River Shin for 1947, 1948, and 1949, calculated by method described; method is of general application if value of constants employed can be determined, and it explains several features of river behavior.
