Reinforced concrete frame structure with brick walls consists of four ninestory blocks separated by expansion joints; width of each block is 48 ft 9 in. and height 95 ft; roofs are flat except "shell" roof 72 ft by 36 ft; wooden forms were used for concealed faces of columns; forms for exposed faces were of composition boarding; even during bad weather, average progress was erection of one story in ten days.
