Slab costs cut with paper formed hollows
Paper tubes serve as forms to create circular openings in floor and roof slabs of high school in Windsor, Conn; tubes are sufficiently strong for purpose and inexpensive enough to be left in slab permanently; hollow floor slabs are 10 in. thick and roof slabs 9 1/2 in. thick for 24-ft span; floors cost $1.35 per sq ft as compared to $1.57 for ordinary concrete floors.
