Report on investigation at Halifax Sewage Disposal Plant of effect of different frequencies of dosing filter beds; optimum period between doses appears to lie in region of 4 to 9 min; tank effluent is applied in flushes which are believed to be beneficial for dispersing surface growths and yet small enough to afford large measure of spreadover in passage through bed.
