Aquifer tests in Snake River basalt
11 aquifer tests and specific capacity data for 238 production wells indicate that coefficient of transmissibility of Snake River basalt averages 4×106 gpd per ft; coefficient probably greatly exceeds values determined from test data because wells partially penetrate aquifer; average yield of basalt to 16-in. well during well-acceptance test of 8 hr is 2100 gpm per ft.
