New aspect of creep and interpretation of creep tests; in "basic creep" no moisture diffusion takes place in concrete while loaded; experiments on creep should not be extended to plastic range; formula relating modulus of elasticity of concrete to modulus of elasticity of components is set forth; formula is also derived relating creep to volume concentration of cement paste in concrete and to water-cement ratio by solid volume.
