Bridge over river St. John connects New Brunswick province's Route 2 at Fredericton with Route 9 at Maugerville; will form part of Trans-Canada Highway, is 3600 ft in length, with roadway on top of steel section; center section is of throughtruss type construction to allow clearance for shipping; structure designed with high tensile bolts, rests on 12 piers; construction cost $6.5 million; total pile penetration for all piers was 81,000 ft.
