Author has established wave forecast system for harbor construction works by combining current long-range and short-range weather forecasts with current calculation method of waves; this is composed of monthly, weekly and three-days' forecasts, so that it can give information on waves at every phase of office works; this wave forecast system was applied to construction works of concrete-caisson breakwater in Port of Onahama, and has given results with sufficient accuracy and increased rate of execution three to four times; it was adopted at some harbors with changeable maritime environment in Japan and has been shown to be successful.
