Area covered comprises 23,000 sq. mi.; scheme includes construction of weirs in River Tod and in its tributary Pillaworta creek; leading of water by gravitation to large reservoir formed by construction of embankment; pumping of water from that to another smaller reservoir at higher elevation, from which water might gravitate through trunk main, 240 mi. long.
