Notes on laying out roads for pleasure travel in scenic areas
Recreational use of such roads involves four main types of procedure which are given; where considerable numbers of cars have to be parked in locality resorted to for enjoyment of scenery, it is often worth while expending ingenuity and some construction cost to make mass of parked cars as inconspicuous as possible; choosing which parts of scenic area are to be devoted primarily to enjoyment from moving automobiles; general preference for keeping automobile roads in locations where they command big views.
