Accelerated wear tests by the bureau of public roads
Results of tests upon granite-block, vitrified-brick and concrete pavement surfaces, for purpose of comparing behavior of various forms of the several types when subjected to exceptionally heavy steel-tired traffic, and of ascertaining whether resistance to wear of constituent parts may be considered as reliable index of wearing value of these materials when combined in pavement. Description of testing machine and methods.
