Merits of precast and monolithic jobs were compared before selecting types for 150 siphons on Colorado River aqueduct; manufacture of 12-ft lengths of largest known fully precast concrete pipe 12-ft diam, shell thickness 12 in., for Little Morongo siphon, 700 ft long, to operate under hydrostatic pressure of 118 ft.
