Stabilizing Michigan gravel roads with clay and calcium chloride
Stabilization of 7.4 mi of gravel road between Mason and Dansville, Mich; selection and quantity of clay to use determined by standardized soil tests; after dampening mixed road materials with water and shaping road surface, 2 1/2 tons per mi of calcium chloride was applied.
