A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Analysis of numerous observations of rivers and canals leading to general theory of flow applicable to channels flowing uniformly in incoherent alluvium; in all regime channels in incoherent alluvium of same grade, mean velocity varies as square root of hydraulic mean depth, slope varies inversely as square root of hydraulic mean depth, and inversely as velocity, and velocity may be expressed by formula of Manning type.
