Temporary hinges for columns supporting roof trusses in a reinforced-concrete garage
Stresses which would be transmitted by reinforcedconcrete trusses having span of 106 ft. to columns if latter were rigidly connected at head and foot before trusses had reached state of equilibrium, were shown to be of such magnitude that it was necessary to construct columns which could be slightly displaced laterally as trusses expanded; details of method adopted.
