Highway bridge at Charleston, S. C., consists of five main sections with total length of 14,500 ft.; main span, 1050 ft. long, is made up of two 306-ft. 3-in. cantilever arms 130 ft. high and of suspended span 437 ft. 6 in. long; nine concrete piers carry main span.
