The Freyssinet method of concrete arch construction
Freyssinet method which is applicable to any type of concrete arch eliminates parasitical stresses, which limit concrete arch to comparatively short spans of high rise; temperature as well as combined dead and live-load stresses may be adjusted so as to reduce bending moments to minimum; correction may be made for small foundation movements.
