Borax solutions found to inhibit rusting
Methods of tests from which it was concluded that borax serves as good rust inhibitor for steel and zinc, and that, in amounts required to inhibit rust, its effect on specific gravity, surface tension, and kinematic viscosity of water can be safely neglected in ordinary hydraulic laboratory works.
