Wall described surrounds 240-ft diam settling tank of 4,500,000-gal capacity at Palliser Works, Hartlepool, of Steetley Magnesite Co; wall extends along outer edge of footpath 3 ft wide around perimeter of tank and comprises precast curved columns about 19 ft high at 13-ft centers; between columns are corrugated slabs 1 1/2 in. thick.
