Soil, mixed with cement, and compacted has provided good street bases in Peoria, Ill; street surfacing is completed by addition of 1 1/2 in. of bituminous concrete; between 2000 and 3000 sq yd of soil cement are laid in one day; author's specifications require that soil-cement process on any project undertaken on any one day must be completed within 6 hr after first application of water.
