Nechako-Kitimat hydroelectric project of Aluminum Co of Canada, north of Vancouver, contains several dams which result in 20 million acre ft of reservoir capacity; main dam is across Nechako Canyon, 317 ft high; data on tunnels and underground powerhouse which will accommodate 16 vertical Pelton turbines, each rated at 140,000 hp at 327 rpm, directly connected to 3-phase, 560 cycle, 13, 800 v generator at 106,000 kva.
