Castle Rock, Douglas County, Colo. secured additional water by constructing 2800-ft. perforated collection line, for underground flow in gravel bed; lower end of pipe is at 8 ft. 12 to 15 in. diam. depth, and upper end 24-ft. depth; preventing clogging of pipe with quicksand.
