New formula for concrete columns needed
Results of tests on reinforced-concrete specimens; effect of peculiarities of concrete (to shrink when drying, and to flow under sustained load) on relative stresses in steel and concrete, and on ultimate strength of columns; result of spiral reinforcement and of bond between reinforcing steel and concrete. (See also - discussions in nos. 12 and 14, Sept., p. 1133 and Nov., p. 1284-1290)
