Hoisting towers, manpower raise roof
With use of 22 specially designed hoisting towers and hand-operated geared chain hoists, Swedish contractor raised 50-ton, 8000-sq ft wooden roof of hospital and held it suspended for 2 mo while crew added new floor; 115×51-ft wooden truss roof was raised total of 12 ft 8 in. in 3 individual lifts.
