Reduced shear reinforcement of concrete truss girders
Results of series of shear strength tests made in Stuttgart, West Germany in 1961 to 1964 on reinforced concrete T-beams led to establishment of new formulas which permit using considerably lesser amount of reinforcement, as compared with old standards, for same value of shear fracture safety factor.
