Calculation of principal stresses in concrete from measured strains
It is suggested that problem of calculating variable stresses from measured strains in concrete has become important in connection with design of prestressed concrete, concrete pressure shields for nuclear reactors, and evolution of dams which are relatively high and stress-sensitive; step-by-step method is described; calculations are suitable for processing by digital computer.
