Principles of prestressing are reviewed; influence of prestress on continuous structural system of statically indeterminate structures is studied; fixed end beams with parabolic, straight and straight interrupted tendon, one end fixed beams, and continuous beams and frames are considered; equations derived and example calculations are presented.
