Analysis of multi-storeyed building frames by stiffness matrix method
Simple method of assembling stiffness matrix of rectangular frame from stiffness influence coefficients of individual members is presented; equation is solved by using Crout's Auxiliary Matrix method; method offers considerable saving of time particularly when, from design considerations, given frame is to be analyzed for number of loading conditions; example which involves solution of 12× 12 matrix is given.
