Factors affecting drying shrinkage of concrete
Quantitative survey is presented of factors which determine magnitude of drying shrinkage of concrete; topics covered include part played by cement composition and fineness, chemical admixtures, mineral fillers, mix design, aggregate type, and contamination, and curing conditions; attention is also given to basic causes of drying shrinkage, and nature of cumulative effect observed when several factors operate simultaneously.
