Buckling of three-legged columns with batten bracing
Equations available in literature for elastic buckling load of built-up prismatic members are critically evaluated; it is found that choice of equation markedly influences results in cases of three-legged compression members; experimental and analytical investigation suggests revised formula for buckling load; modification for existing formulas to extend their use to three-legged towers and columns is developed.
