Frost-heave
Various methods of forming "heat barrier" in flooring beneath insulation in cold storage plant are noted, and it is suggested that easiest, surest, and probably cheapest way of providing this barrier is by means of electrically heated grid of wires buried in top screed of concrete; this is often known as " heater mat"; construction using low voltage system is discussed.
