Underground measurement of radioactivity at zone of dislocation in footwall
Magnitude of dislocation connected with floor heaving was studied by means of radioactive isotopes inserted into drillholes; measurements were concerned with rock density and were effective in determining extent to which footwall rock was loosened; study indicates that dislocation accompanying heaving spreads deeper than thought earlier.
