Study of loads on underground structures
Analytical method is presented for determining loads on underground structures induced by time-dependent air over-pressures of type resulting from nuclear blasts; first part is devoted to development of analytical method for evaluating loads produced by static overpressures, and is based on principles set forth as result of theoretical and experimental work conducted by A.Marston and M.G. Spangler at Iowa State University during period 1908 to 1952; in second part, analysis is extended to include effects of time-dependent overpressures.
