A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Basic European modular systems (octa-metric system based on 12.5 cm multiple module, Le Corbusier "Modulor", and Modular Coordination system based on multiples of 10 cm module) are reviewed, and theoretical principles of latter system are explained; tolerances in prefabrication and assembly of structural elements are discussed; system's application is shown in plans and illustrations of several buildings.
