Tall brickwork apartment buildings in Biel (Switzerland)
9- to 16-story brickwork buildings were built during past six years; use of special quality HO-bricks permitted holding thickness of all carrying walls at 15 cm only; concrete floors, staircases, and front walls were made in situ, as detailed calculations showed that this method resulted in overall cost saving of about 15% as compared with use of prefabricated elements.
