A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Recent applications of steel ropes in development of light, single story, structures leads to consideration of similar principles in construction of multistory buildings; it is found that beam principle may be developed further by use of suspenarch to replace it, and suspenarch is capable of very large spans, since its own weight is relatively small.
