Bridge 500 ft long, near Quebec City, features structure to be protected against corrosion by hot-dip galvanizing; structure, fabricated from high-strength steel, was shop welded and pieces were connected in field with galvanized A325 bolts; ordinary handling did not cause abrasion; small marks seemed to heal; galvanizing is expected to last at least 30 yr without maintenance of any kind; tests show no slip of A325 bolts at proof load.
