A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
With total length of 657 m subdivided into 198 m center span, two 108 m side spans, and three 81 m approaches, box girder-type 20 m wide bridge carries two orthotropic plate roadways 8.10 m wide each; numerical analysis and calculation of stability against sliding is given for three main pillars 69 m, 137 m and 146 m high; foundation work is described; brief description is also given of Sills II Bridge in Innsbruch-Brenner stretch of same highway and consisting of two parallel reinforced concrete arch spans, each 97 m long, and each supporting 11.6 m wide roadway.
