Road bridges over Rhine at Neuenburg and Breisach
Two new bridges connecting French and West German railway and road systems are described; 219 m long three-span composite concrete-steel girders bridge at Neuenburg carries 9.25 m wide roadway and one railway track; 282 m long, 12 m wide four-span road bridge at Breisach has steel box-type superstructure with orthotropic deck-plate of trapezoidal cross section; superstructure is supported by piers left over from old railway bridge.
