Horizontal shear connections between precast beams and cast-in-place slabs
In experimental program 42 beams and necessary control cylinders were tested to provide information on degree of roughness of contact surface, length of shear span, percentage of steel across joint, effect of shear keys, position of joint with respect to neutral axis, and concrete com pressive strength; results obtained indicate complex relations between roughness of surface joint, percent steel across joint, and shear span.
