A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Analysis of girders is carried out for sinusoidally distributed loads and for uniformly distributed loads in case where reactions at support are applied to girder in accordance with shear stress distribution; examples are given which demonstrate how stress distribution in structures of this type is influenced by height of point of load application and reactions at supports, as well as by presence of flanges, or by nonconstant elastic conditions.
