Calculation of curved thin-walled beams with open cross section
Combined bending and torsion of circularly curved beams with symmetry axis perpendicular to curvature plane is considered; starting from equilibrium conditions and elastostatic relationships, explicit formulas are derived for flexural moments and buckling force-moment, as well as for support deformations required for calculation of continuous thin-walled beams, such as used in construction of curved steel bridges.
