Stresses and strains in undrained compression test
Mathematical description of stress and failure conditions in various idealized two phase systems, solid phase of which is characterized by elasticity constants and by non-elastic component of volume change; basis of analysis; extension of A.W.Skempton's theory of stress analysis in saturated soils to soils which tend to undergo volume change on shearing due to structural effects; results appear to be in agreement with typical undrained triaxial tests on saturated soils.
