Experiments in asphalt surfacing for improvement of non-skid qualities
To obtain more permanent nonskid surface it was decided by city of Stretford to lay high stone content asphalt wearcourse with no precoated chippings; specification and thickness are tabulated; observations were made under peak traffic of 1400 vehicles per hr in addition to heavy industrial traffic; 60% stone content has given most uniform texture in surface.
