Use of tarred rejections in modern road making
Successful results can be obtained by introducing smaller pieces of aggregate of fill voids in tarred rejections thus securing dense compact mass; dry clean stone or slag must be scattered over surface of tarred rejections before rolling; 4 in. bed of tarred rejections properly laid and consolidated on stabilized base will suffice; drainage facilities for consolidated tarred or bituminous surface.
