Problem of rational selection of drainage structure that will pass storm water runoff through embankment; graphical method of determining culvert sizes is illustrated by chart; method is general in application, is easy to apply and lends itself to latest concepts in drainage area hydrology; in preparation of chart used to illustrate graphical method, Burkli-Ziegler formula giving rate of storm water runoff has been used.
